2010 Worldwide job losses
from the recession that started in
the United States in December 2007
could hit a staggering 50 million by
the end of 2009, according to the International Labor
Organization, a United Nations agency.

Bureau of Labor Statistics states: The number of
unemployed persons increased by
851,000 to 12.5 million in February,
and the unemployment rate rose to 8.1
percent. Over the past 12 months, the
number of unemployed persons has
increased by about 5.0 million, and
the unemployment rate has risen by
3.3 percentage points.
